Patriotism is the inner awakening of the spirit of the Chinese nation and the underlying logic of the inheritance of Chinese blood.Reinforcing high-quality patriotic education is beneficial for advancing the devel-opment of a strong educational system,fostering the creation of a harmonious society,and promoting students'self-actualization.However,there are still numerous practical issues with current patriotic education.Mead's symbolic interactionism is a sophisticated theory that explores the internal relationship between mind,self,and society,offering a sociological perspective for the high-quality development of patriotism education.Patriotic education needs to cultivate students to spontaneously generate patriotic feelings and practice patriotic behavior by implementing"ideographic symbol",paying attention to"generalized others",realizing"complete self"and providing"accessible experience".
