Family support and innovative behaviour of nurses:the mediating role in sense of career calling
Objective To investigate current status of innovative behaviour of nurses and explore the impact of family support on innovative actions of nurses and the possible mediating role in sense of career calling between family support and innovative behaviour.Methods A total of 342 nurses were selected to engage in the investigation with a general questionnaire,family support scale,innovative behaviour scale for nurses,and career calling scale for staff from July 2022 to August 2022 by convience sampling.The relationship of 3 variates were analysed by Pearson test.AMOS 26.0 was used to analyse the mediating effect of career calling on family support and innovative behaviour of the nurses.Results Toally 342 ralid questonnaires were collected and the effective recovery rate was 95.00%.The total score of innovative behaviour,career calling and family support of nurses were(39.34±6.12),(40.64±6.53)and(23.75±3.59),which were at high level.Innovation behaviour was significantly positively correlated with the family support(r=0.571,P<0.01)as well as career calling(r=0.628,P<0.01).Family support was significantly and positively correlated with career calling(r=0.611,P<0.01).Career calling played a partial mediating role between the family support and innovative behaviour,accounting for 49.91%of the total effect.Conclusions Innovative behaviour of nurses shown in this study is at high level.Career calling plays a partial mediating role between family support and innovative behaviour.It is suggested that nursing managers should encourage nurse's innovative behaviour by enhancing the family support and career calling of nurses.
