As the advance of national healthcare reform policies and the growing demand for hospital business informatization,traditional hospital networks can no longer meet the needs of high-quality development in public hospitals.This paper firstly compares the traditional Ethernet LANs with all-optical networks based on GPON from the perspectives of network architecture,business,CAPEX,and OPEX,elucidating the necessity of constructing a smart hospital POL.Secondly,it describes the networking principles and network architecture of smart hospital all-optical networks,presents an all-optical network solution based on GPON technology,and introduces the application of all-optical networks in various smart hospital business scenarios as well as their application situation in information security.Finally,it summarizes the POL and offers suggestions.
