Refined Radar Clutter Map Processing Method Based on Clutter Edge Detection
This paper proposes an adaptive clutter map processing architecture to address the problem of false point suppression in complex clutter environments of radar positions.By measuring the amplitude of clutter echoes around the position in real time, the edge contours of the clutter environment are extracted through contrast enhancement, edge detection, and smoothing methods, and the clutter areas are partitioned(clutter area, edge area, noise area).Furthermore, based on the partition results of the clutter environment, clutter map parameters such as clutter map unit size, background iteration factor, and background expansion switch are automatically selected by clutter map strategies and finely set for parameters. The experiment shows that compared to the method of solidifying a single clutter map with conventional parameters, the method proposed in this paper improves the suppression rate of false clutter points by about 30%.
