Objective To observe correlation between activity of plasma antithrombin-Ⅲ (AT-Ⅲ ),serum lipopro-tein-associated phospholipase A2(Lp-PLA2)level and progressive cerebral infarction(PCI).Methods Ninety-five patients with cerebral infarction admitted to Jinhua Central Hospital from January 2018 to June 2019 were included, including 47 cases with PCI(observation group)and 48 cases with non-PCI(control group).Forty-five volunteers who underwent health examinations in our hospital at the same time were selected as the healthy group. The activity of AT-Ⅲ ,serum Lp-PLA2,and the National Institutes of Health stroke scale(NIHSS)scores before treatment in three groups, before and after treatment in the observation group were compared. The correlation between the activity of AT-Ⅲ ,serum Lp-PLA2 levels, and NIHSS scores in the observation group before treatment were analyzed by Pearson correlation analysis. Results The activity of plasma AT-Ⅲ in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group and healthy group(all P<0.05),while serum Lp-PLA2 was significantly higher than that in the control group and healthy group(all P<0.05).The activity of plasma AT-Ⅲ in the control group was significantly lower than that in the healthy group(P<0.05),and the serum Lp-PLA2 was significantly higher than that in the healthy group(P<0.05).Compared with before treatment,on the 3rd,5th,and 7th day after treatment, plasma AT-III activity significantly decreased(all P<0.05),while serum Lp-PLA2 and NIHSS scores significantly increased(all P<0.05).Compared with the 5th day of treatment, the activity of plasma AT-Ⅲ was significantly higher on the 7th day of treatment(P<0.05),while Lp-PLA2 level and NIHSS score were significantly lower(all P<0.05).The activity of plasma AT-Ⅲ before treatment in the observation group was negatively correlated with NIHSS score(r=-0.524,P<0.001).The serum Lp PLA2 was positively correlated with NIHSS score(r=0.487,P<0.001).Conclusion Plasma AT-Ⅲ activity and serum Lp-PLA2 are closely related to PCI development and neurological impairment.
