Objective To explore the relationship between neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio(NLR)and all-cause mortality in elderly patients with coronary heart disease(CHD)and heart failure. Methods Clinical data of 286 elderly patients with CHD and heart failure who were admitted from February 2015 to September 2019 in Yongkang Hospital of Traditonal Chinese Medicine were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were followed up by telephone until September 2022.Among them,172 cases survived and 114 cases died. The factors related to the death of the patients were analyzed.Multivariate Cox proportional regression model was used to analyze the correlation of NLR with all-cause mortality after discharge in elderly patients with CHD and heart failure. Results NLR was significantly higher in the survival group(3.83±1.60)than in the death group(5.41±1.88)(P<0.001).Multivariate Cox proportional regression analysis showed that NLR was an independent predictor for all-death mortality after discharge in elderly patients with CHD and heart failure(HR=1.146,95%CI=1.049-1.251,P=0.002).Conclusion NLR is an independent predictor for long-term all-cause mortality in elderly patients with CHD and heart failure.
