Discussion on Modern Chinese Entries in HanYu Da CiDian(《汉语大词典》)
As the largest Chinese language reference book at present,Hanyu Da Cidian(《汉语大词典》)has attracted widespread attention due to its unique linguistic and historical characteristics,and has had a wide impact both domestically and internationally.However,due to the influence of various objective factors,there are still problems such as late issuance of examples,imprecise definitions,missing entries,missing meanings,and insufficient examples.These problems have affected the effective use of the dictionary.Therefore,analyzing and discussing these issues can help improve the quality of Hanyu Da Cidian(《汉语大词典》)and provide guidance for the compilation of general reference books.
