Narrative Positioning Construction of International Chinese Language Teachers'Identity in Network Media
Starting from the perspective of narrative positioning,this paper takes the news reports of international Chinese language teachers in network media as an example,applies the method of narrative positioning analysis,constructs the framework of news narratives,and shows the trajectory of the construction of international Chinese language teachers'identities through the analysis of various discursive resources at different levels of positioning.It is found that the construction of international Chinese language teachers'identities in network media mainly includes their own identities and responsible identities,and that international Chinese language teachers are positioned as language educators,disseminators of Chinese culture,and international-minded people through the process of narrative positioning"voice"and evaluation.The reasons for the construction of international Chinese language teachers'identities include personal and social factors,both of which play a role in the construction of their multiple identities.
