Correction of the Errors in Daojiao Lingyanji(《道教灵验记》)by Zhonghua Book Company
Daojiao Lingyanji(《道教灵验记》)written by Du Guangting is a collection of stories about Taoist manifestations,and it is also a valuable corpus for the study of modern Chinese.It is collected in Du Guangting Jizhuan Shizhong Jijiao(《杜光庭记传十种辑校》)published by Zhonghua Book Company in 2013,which is currently the most widely used edition.Comprehensively use the knowledge of textual studies,philology,editions and other related knowledge to discuss the problems of the wrong text,missing text,reversed text,and wrong revisions in the collation.For example,"chen wei ji wu(辰未己午)"should be changed to"chen wei si wu(辰未巳午)","bai jian(白箭)"should be"bai jian(白简)",the character"qi(稽)"is lostinthe"koubo qi sang(叩搏稽颡)",the word order of"si juan tong(四卷同)"should be adjusted to"si tong juan(四同卷)","she ben(舌本)"refers to the root of the tongue.Through this discussion,it is hoped that it can provide reference for the interpretation of Taoist literature.The linguistic value of Taoist literature can also be seen in the discussion.
