Study on Yu Yue's Exegesis Based on the Concept of Balance and Symmetry
Balance and symmetry is a kind of aesthetic concept deeply rooted in the cultural psychology of Chinese people.The thinking structure and language structure of ancient Chinese literati are characterized by balance and symmetry.Yu Yue,a scholar in the late Qing dynasty,applied this rule to exegesis practice.He often interprets the meaning of words from the perspective of the balance and symmetry of the structure of texts and sentences,and solves some problems that predecessors have not been able to explain well.However,Yu Yue sometimes exaggerates the restriction of this symmetry to the text,which also causes the far-fetched solution of part of the explanation.
