A Study of the"Degree Adverb+Noun"Structure in Chinese from the Perspective of Fuzzy Linguistics
The"degree adverb+noun"structure in Chinese has long been a subject of interest, yet its inherent vagueness and grammatical characteristics have not received comprehensive scrutiny. This study adopts a perspective rooted in fuzzy linguistics to delve into the vagueness of this structure and the role of adverbs within it.Through an analysis of real language data,we uncover that adverbs in this structure are not solely grammatical elements that modify adjectives or nouns, they also function as fuzzy quantifiers, enhancing the vagueness of nouns and expanding the connotations of word meanings.Furthermore,we employ quantitative data and frequency distribution analysis to substantiate our findings, demonstrating the widespread usage of this structure in the Chinese language.
