On Integration of Taiwan-Specific Words in Chinese Mainland from the Changes of Two Dictionaries
The changes in the marking of Taiwan-specific words in the two dictionaries of Liang'an Xiandai Hanyu Changyong Cidian(《两岸现代汉语常用词典》,2003)and Liang'an Changyong Cidian(《两岸常用词典》,2012),reflect the integration of Taiwan-specific words in the Chinese mainland.This paper analyses the integration of Taiwan-specific words in the Chinese mainland through specific examples,and distinguishes the integration to three levels.At the first level,Taiwan-specific words have been fully integrated into Chinese mainland and become common words in daily use,The symbol is that these words are included in Xiandai Hanyu Cidian(《现代汉语词典》).At the second level,the Taiwan-specific words are nearly integrated,but they have not yet been included in Xiandai Hanyu Cidian(《现代汉语词典》).At the third level,Taiwan-specific words have begun to enter the Chinese mainland or are being integrated.
