Based upin the analysis of 78 samples retrieved from Renmin Ribao(《人民日报》)from 1949 to 2023,and some other samples from other news papers,it is found that the idiom"zhengzhongxiahuai(正中下怀)"can not only be used for first-person point of view narration,but it is more often used for third-person point of view narration with recher expression modes.Comparing the usage of the idiom in the novels from the Ming and Qing periods and in the newspapers of the first half of the 20th century,it is found that the usage of the idiom today is inherited in an orderly manner.Accordingly,the article puts forward some different opinions on some views on the usage norms of the idiom.
