The American Diabetes Association(ADA)is pioneering in the standards establishment for diabetes diagnosis and treatment on the basis of evidence-based medicine.It has been updated annually since 1989 and has become one of the important guidelines for medical workersto formulate comprehensivediabetes management programs.On December 11,2023,the Standards of Care in Diabetes-2024 was published on the official website of Diabetes Care journal,which covers a wide range of contents,aiming to guide relevant medi-cal personnel,patients and their families,researchers,medical and government institutions to do a better job in the diagnosis and treatment of diabetes.This article selects its important update points for understanding.
