Visualization of domestic core training in musculoskeletal pain-related research in the past decade
Objective To analyze the status quo, research hotspots, and frontiers of core muscle training(CMT)in domestic research on musculoskeletal pain using bibliometric methods. Methods Literature published from January 1,2014,to December 31,2023,on CMT for musculoskeletal pain was retrieved from databases including China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),Wanfang, and VIP database.Authors, research institutions, and keywords of the included literature were used as network nodes for co-occurrence analysis in CiteSpace6.2 software, generating visualizations such as author and institution collaboration networks, and keyword distribution maps. Results A total of 312 papers were included, with the overall number of publications showing an increasing trend, albeit with a slight de-crease in the past two years. Most publications were from medical schools, and authors were mostly from small teams.Collaboration between institutions and authors needs to be strengthened, with low levels of inter-institutional and inter-regional cooperation.Research in this field was mainly focused on the rehabilitative efficacy of CMT for low back pain and lumbar spine function. Conclusion CMT has shown good efficacy in treating low back pain.Future research should focus on improving lumbar spine function, enhancing quality of life, and accelerating postoperative recovery through early application.
