Cervical cancer(CC),one of the most common malignant tumors in the female reproductive system, involves various regulatory mechanisms in its occurrence and development.MicroRNA(miRNA),as a type of non-coding RNA,plays an important role in regulating gene expression at the post-transcriptional lev-el.MiRNA-186(miR-186),as an important miRNA,is closely associated with abnormal expression in CC and processes such as cell proliferation, apoptosis, and invasion, and it also plays a role in regulating the sensitivity of CC cells to chemotherapy. In this review,we will summarize the research progress on the regulatory mecha-nisms of miR-186 in the occurrence and development of CC.
