Study on the effects of 20 Hz repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation combined with venlafaxine in the treatment of adult generalized anxiety disorders
Objective To observe the effects of 20 Hz repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation(rT-MS)combined with venlafaxine in the treatment of adult generalized anxiety disorder(GAD)and its impact on cognitive function and negative emotions.Methods A total of 75 adult patients with GAD admitted to the hospital from March 2021 to April 2023 were randomly divided into two groups using the random number ta-ble method.The control group(37 cases)received venlafaxine treatment,while the study group(38 cases)re-ceived rTMS on the basis of venlafaxine.The clinical efficacy of the two groups was compared.Results The total effective rate,eye movement measurement,Montreal Cognitive Assessment Scale(MoCA)scores in the study group were higher than those in the control group,and the event-related potential latency,as well as the scores of GAD-7 scale,Hamilton Anxiety Scale and Hamilton Depression Scale were significantly lower than those of the control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion The 20 Hz repetitive transcra-nial magnetic stimulation combined with venlafaxine therapy can improve the clinical efficacy,cognitive func-tion,and alleviate negative emotions in adult patients with GAD,with high therapeutic practicality.
