A case of adult Meckel's diverticulitis combined with acute appendicitis
Meckel's diverticulum(MD),also known as ileal diverticulum,is a type of abnormal out-growth of the gastrointestinal tract.It has a low incidence rate and often lacks specific clinical symptoms.MD can lead to complications such as bleeding,ulceration,perforation,and intestinal obstruction,making it diffi-cult to diagnose clinically and prone to missed or misdiagnosis.This article reports a case of a patient admitted to this department with MD located in the mid-ileum,accompanied by acute appendicitis.After treatment,the patient's condition improved.By analyzing the relevant diagnosis and treatment process,this case aims to en-hance clinicians'understanding of this disease.
