Diarrheal Irritable Bowel Syndrome(IBS-D)is a common functional bowel disease.The pathogenesis of IBS-D is complex,involving the interaction of multiple factors,such as damp-heat,cold-dampness,qi stagnation,and spleen deficiency,etc.Among them,damp-heat is the most common cause of IBS-D.Damp-heat is difficult to remove,and the condition is repeated,which seriously affects the quality of life of patients and brings a non-negligible burden to society and individuals.By consulting the relevant literature in recent years,this paper analyzes the etiology and pathogenesis of dampness-heat of IBS-D from the perspective of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM),and summarizes the methods of syndrome differentiation and treatment of dampness-heat,acupuncture and moxibustion characteristic therapy and prevention and adjustment strategies,in order to provide some reference for further optimizing the TCM treatment plan of IBS-D.
