Clinical Effect of Dapagliflozin Tablets Combined with Metformin Tablets in the Treatment ofType 2 Diabetes Mellitus
Objectives Toinvestigate the clinical effect of Dapagliflozin tabletscombined withMetformin tablets in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Methods A total of 60 T2DM patients admitted to our hospital from May 2022 to July 2023 were selectedand divided into observation group and control group randomly,with 30 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Metformin tablets,and the observation group was treated with Dapagliflozin combined with Metformin tablets.The clinical efficacy,blood glucose level,body mass index(BMI),and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the both groups.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 93.33%,which was significantly higher than the 66.67%in control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the level of fasting blood glucose(FPG),2-hour postprandial blood glucose(2hPG),and glycosylated hemoglobin(HbAlc)levels in both groups decreased,and those in the observation group were significantly lower than the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the BMI of the two groups decreased,and the index in the observation group was significantly lower than the control group(P＜0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 6.67%,which was slightly lower than the 13.33%in control group,and the difference was not statistically significant(P＞0.05).Conclusions The combination of Dapagliflozin and Metformin tablets in the treatment of T2DM patients can improve clinical efficacy,improve blood sugar levels,reduce BMI,and have high safety.
