Effect of Procedure for Prolapse and Hemorrhoids on Postoperative Pain and Anal Function in Patients with CircularMixed Hemorrhoids
Objectives To investigate the clinical effect of procedure for prolapse and hemorrhoids(PPH)in patients with circular mixed hemorrhoids. Methods A total of 60 patients with circular mixed hemorrhoids who underwent surgical treatment in our hospital from July 2020 to July 2023 were selected and divided into control group and observation group, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with traditional milligan-morgan hem-orrhoidectomy(MMH),and the observation group was treated with PPH.The clinical efficacy, perioperative indica-tors,frequency of anal bleeding and pain score(VAS),anal function and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The operation time, wound healing time, hospitalization time, and recovery time of the observation group was significantly shorter compared to those of the control group, and the intraoperative bleeding was significantly less than that of the control group(P<0.05).On postoperative day 1 and 3,the observation group had less bleeding than the control group, and the VAS score of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group on postoperative day 3(P<0.05).On postoperative day 1,there was no statistically signifi-cant difference in VAS scores between the two groups(P>0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was 6.67%,which was significantly lower than the 26.67%in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions PPH-has a significant effect in the treatment of patients with circular mixed hemorrhoids. It has less trauma and shorter wound healing time, which is helpful for patients to return to daily work and life as soon as possible. Moreover,it has fewer complications, and is safe and reliable, whichis worthy of popularization and application.
