Casting Method and Process Improvement of ADI Spring Supporter
Casting structure and technical requirements of ADI spring supporter were introduced.The former casting method and process scheme and caused problems were described.After analyzing their reason,improvement were conducted:(1)After the cold-box sand core process being changed into hot-box sand core and using shell core process,the sand core weight was reduced,the labor intensity of core making and repairing also reduced.(2)After reducing Cu and Mo adding amounts,the mechanical properties had not obvious change.(3)The machining holes were changed into as-cast hole with 1 mm allowance to easy to be machined.(4)The gatings and risers were improved,and did not use the chills again.The production results showed:after the method and process improvement,the process rate of casting was elevated,the cleaning and grinding labor intensity and production cost were reduced.
