超大型压缩机球墨铸铁蜗壳的研发

Research and Development of Nodular Iron Volute for Ultra-large Compressors
The structure and technical requirements of ultra-large volute castings was introduced.Their production process was elaborated.The volute casting was oriented with the large open end facing upward,and the main body was cast as a single piece.To enhance the strength of the sand core,reinforcing core bones were designed,and the sand core was supported by the same material as the casting.An open gating system was employed,with the horizontal gate located at the bottom of the casting.To ensure proper feeding,heating risers were placed at the thick flanges,partition chillers were set between risers,multiple small heating risers were placed on the side walls of the pipe,and venting plates were installed on the top flange to ensure smooth venting during metal filling.Production results showed that the casting meet the technical requirements for mechanical properties,normal temperature impact performance and airtightness.
