The experimental methods used to assess the impact of water content on the properties of clay-bonded green sand during the sand mixing process was introduced:(1)By using reclaimed sand with different moisture levels,the effect of reclaimed sand moisture on sand properties was investigated.(2)By implementing various water addition schemes during sand mixing,the effect of water addition on sand properties was studied.The results indicated that:(1)The properties of green sand vary with the moisture content of reclaimed sand and the mixing time,as well as with the amount of water added during mixing.(2)When reclaimed sand with a moisture content of 1.8%was used for mixing,the required mixing time to achieve peak performance indicators was shortest,the kinetic energy consumption for mixing was minimal,mixing efficiency was higher,and it was more conducive to streamlined production.
