Long-term curative effect of suspension massage exercise on frozen shoulder
Objective It is to explore the long-term effect of suspension massage exercise on frozen shoulder and its in-fluence on inflammatory factors.Methods Sixty-seven patients with frozen shoulder treated in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January to September 202 were selected and randomly divided into two groups according to random number method,namely the control group(n=33)and the experimental group(n=34).The patients in both groups received normal health education and medium-frequency impulse electrotherapy.On this basis,the control group was treated with stretching and pulling exercise plus joint mobilization,while the experimental group was treated with suspension massage exercise.Both groups were treated.The shoulder pain degree[assessed by visu-al analog scale(VAS)],shoulder mobility,shoulder function[assessed by Constant-Murley Score(CMS)]before and af-ter treatment for 4 weeks,and in 3 months after treatment,and serum level of IL-10 level before and after treatment were compared between the two groups,the average times of daily active exercise of the three groups during treatment were recor-ded,and the correlations between serum IL-10 and active exercise time and CMS score were analyzed.Results After treat-ment for 4 weeks and in 3 months after treatment,the VAS scores of patients in both groups were significantly lower,while the shoulder mobility and CMS scores were significantly higher than those before treatment(all P<0.05),and the VAS scores of the experimental group was lower,while shoulder mobility and CMS scores were significantly higher than those of the control group(all P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of serum IL-10 of patients in both groups were significantly higher than those before treatment(both P<0.05),and the level of serum IL-10 in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The level of serum IL-10 was positively correlated with active exercise time(r=0.675,P<0.05),and CMS score was positively correlated with level of serum IL-10 after treatment(r=0.816,P<0.05).Conclusion Suspension massage exercise is more advantageous in regulating the mechanical balance of shoulder joint and levels of inflammatory factors in the treatment of frozen shoulder,its clinical therapeutic effect is remarkable with long duration.
