fficacy of Shen Qi Pingluo decoction combined with external counterpulsation on heart failure with reduced ejection fraction
Objective It is to observe the clinical efficacy of Shen Qi Pingluo decoction combined with external counter-pulsation in the treatment of patients with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction(EFrHF).Methods Sixty patients with EFrHF and syndrome of Qi deficiency and blood stasis treated in the First Hospital of Hebei Medical University from February 2022 to June 2023 were randomly divided into 30 patients in the control group and 30 patients in the experimental group. Both groups were treated with western medicine standardized therapy.Additionally, the patients in the control group were treated with extracorporeal counterpulsation for 4 weeks, and the patients in the experimental group were treated with extracorporeal counterpulsation combined with Shen Qi Pingluo decoction for 4 weeks. The changes in the scores of syn-drome of Qi deficiency and blood stasis, cardiac function indexes(left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),left ventricu-lar end-systolic internal diameter(LVESD),left ventricular end-diastolic internal diameter(LVEDD),plasma amino-ter-minal brain natriuretic peptide precursor(NT-proBNP)),and the quality of life(6 min walking test(6MWT))before and after the treatments were observed in the two groups. Results Compared with before treatment, the scores of syndrome of Qi deficiency and blood stasis were significantly decreased, the cardiac function indexes were significantly improved, and the 6MWT was significantly prolonged in the patients of the two groups after 4 weeks of treatment, and the improvements of the above indexes of the patients in the experimental group were significantly better than those of patients in the control group, and the differences were all statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion Shen Qi Pingluo decoction combined with external counterpulsation can significantly alleviate the clinical symptoms, improve cardiac function, and improve the quali-ty of life of patients with EFrHF with syndrome of Qi deficiency and blood stasis.
