Effect of hot-dampness compress with decoction for dispersing swelling and promoting healing on collagen Ⅰ and collagen Ⅲ levels and wound healing after perianal abscess surgery
Objective It is to study the effects of hot-dampness compress with decoction for dispersing swelling and pro-moting healing on serum levels of collagen Ⅰ and collagen Ⅲ and wound healing in patients after one-time radical surgery for low perianal abscess.Methods Eighty patients who underwent radical treatment of low perianal abscess in One Ward of A-nal and Intestinal Disease Hospital of Xi'an Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from October 2021 to September 2023 were selected and divided into treatment group and control group according to randomized numerical table method,with 40 cases in each group.On the basis of conventional treatment after radical treatment of perianal abscess,the control group was treated with hot-dampness compress with normal saline,and the treatment group was treated with hot-dampness com-press with decoction for dispersing swelling and promoting healing.The serum levels of Collagen Ⅰ,Collagen Ⅲ and Col-lagen Ⅲ/Collagen Ⅰ ratio of patients in the two groups were compared before treatment,after 7 and 14 days of treatment,and the wound healing of the two groups after 28 days of treatment were counted.Results After 7 days of treatment,the ser-um levels of Collagen Ⅰ and Collagen Ⅲ of patients of the treatment group were significantly higher than those of the con-trol group(all P＜0.05);after 14 days of treatment,the serum levels of Collagen Ⅰ and Collagen Ⅲ of patients of the treatment group were significantly lower than those of the control group(all P＜0.05),but the serum Collagen Ⅲ/Colla-gen Ⅰ ratio was significantly higher than that of the control group(P＜0.05).After 28 days of treatment,the healing rate of the treatment group was 47.5％(19/40),and the healing rate of the control group was 20.0％(8/40),the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion Hot-dampness compress with decoction for dis-persing swelling and promoting healing can promote wound healing and improve the quality of wound healing via promoting the expressions of Collagen Ⅰ and Collagen Ⅲ in the first and middle stages,reducing the expressions of Collagen Ⅰ and Collagen Ⅲ in the later stages,and increasing the relative level of Collagen Ⅲ.
