Implications of New Zealand's forest fire history research for fire management in China's southwestern forest areas
The history of forest fires in New Zealand shows differ-ent stages of forest burning patterns, mainly including pre hu-man,Maori,European,and modern forest burning patterns.Un-der the influence of factors such as forest conditions and forest fire management policies, forest fire patterns exhibit different pat-terns.In the historical stage of forest fires, the plant distribution characteristics of New Zealand have certain similarities with the southwest forest areas of China. Therefore, drawing on New Zea-land's mature forest fire management experience is beneficial for the study of fire history in the southwest forest areas of China, reasonably grasping the dynamic laws of fire in the southwest for-est areas, and providing reference for the future adjustment and re-vision of forest fire management policies and forest fire prevention policies in the southwest forest areas of China.
