Objective:To analyze the clinical efficacy and related influencing factors after percutaneous closure of patent foramen oval(PFO)with long tunnel or associated atrial septal aneurysm(ASA).Methods:A total of 24 patients with PFO of long tunnel type or combined with ASA who underwent PFO occlusion surgery at Zhengzhou Seventh People's Hospital between March 2021 and August 2022 were selected.Follow-up observations were conducted before surgery,3 months after surgery, and 6 months after surgery to record the degree and duration of patients'symptoms, including migraine, dizziness,as expressed by headache impact test-6(HIT-6)and dizziness visual analogue scale(VAS).Results:Analyzing the data from the follow-up after percutaneous closure,18 patients(75.0%)had effective clinical symptoms relief 3 months after surgery, and 20 patients(83.3%)had effective clinical symptoms relief 6 months after surgery. Both the HIT-6 score and the dizziness VAS score were significantly reduced before and after the closure surgery(P<0.01).Six patients who had a history of cerebral vascular events before surgery were free of recurrent cerebral vascular events after six months. Conclusions:PFO closure can effectively alleviate related clinical symptoms and improve quality of life in patients with long tunnel type or ASA patients, and the safety of surgery is high, which has certain clinical guiding significance.
