Exploration of postoperative position and immobilization time after radiofrequency ablation of atrial fibrillation in patients on uninterrupted anticoagulation therapy
Objective:To evaluate the effect of different absolute bed rest time after radiofrequency ablation(RFCA)in patients with atrial fibrillation(AF)under uninterrupted anticoagulation. Methods:Three hundred patients with AF treated with RFCA from June 2022 to September 2022 were enrolled and grouped according to the absolute bed rest time after the procedure, which performed 8-hour absolute bed rest in the control group and 2-hour absolute bed rest in the observation group. We comparatively analyzed low back pain, vascular complications, urinary retention, comfort, numbness of the operated limbs, sleeping duration within 24 hours, and patient satisfaction between two groups. Results:Compared with control group, the patients in the observation group had lower low back pain score(NRS)during 4-8 hours after procedure and fewer urinary retention and operated limbs numbness(P<0.05).The comfort score(GCQ),satisfaction score, and sleeping duration within 24 hours were higher in the observation group(P<0.001).The vascular complications were not increased in the observation group. Conclusions:The implementation of 2-hour absolute bed rest time after RFCA in AF patients under uninterrupted anticoagulation effectively reduced low back pain and operated limbs numbness, improved sleeping duration, comfort during the bed rest period, and patient satisfaction and did not increase rates of vascular complications such as bleeding and hematoma, which shows significant effectiveness in clinical application.
