Impact Mechanism of Digital Economy Development on Tourism Revenue:A Case Study of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region
The rapid development of the digital economy has brought great changes to the tourism industry and become an important driving force for the growth of tourism revenue.Based on the theoretical analysis of the causal relationship between digital economy and tourism revenue,this paper combined with the relevant data of 14 prefecture-level cities in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region from 2011 to 2021 to build a digital economy indicator system,and tested the impact mechanism of digital economy on tourism revenue by using panel fixed effect model,panel threshold model and intermediary effect model.Digital economy has a significant and positive effect on tourism revenue,and this conclusion is still valid after the endogeneity analysis of digital economy lagging one and two periods,as well as a series of robustness tests on samples and construction methods.At the same time,the effect of the digital economy development on promoting tourism revenue shows a non-linear feature of marginal decline.Mechanism analysis shows that promoting regional economic development and optimizing industrial innovation and entrepreneurship are important ways for digital economy to generate tourism revenue.
