Effect of Industrial Upgrading from Perspective of Double-cycle New Development Pattern:A Case Study of 108 Cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt
This paper analyzes the effect of industrial upgrading from the perspective of the new development pattern of double-cycle,takes 108 cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt as the research objects, and selects the data from 2003 to 2022 for empirical research, and the results show that there is an inverted"U"relationship between opening up and industrial upgrading, and there is a positive correlation between inter-regional opening and industrial upgrading, and the dual opening up can realize the complementary advantages of opening up and inter-regional opening up,thereby promoting industrial upgrading.Based on the difference between resource endowment and economic development level, the effect of dual opening on the industrial upgrading of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River Economic Belt is the most significant, and the relationship between opening up and industrial upgrading is an inverted"U"shape in the downstream and midstream areas, and a"U"shaped relationship in the upstream areas, and inter-regional opening has a promoting effect on industrial upgrading, showing a trend of weakening from east to west.Further research finds that the dual opening has a promoting effect on both dimensions of industrial upgrading, and the advanced industrial structure plays a stronger intermediary role in the dual opening to promote industrial upgrading. Finally, countermeasures and suggestions are put forward from the aspects of overall planning and coordination of the relationship between opening up and inter-regional opening-up,comprehensive consideration of the differences in resource endowments between regions, and improvement of the synergy of dual opening-up.
