The formation of Su Shi's Buddhist and Zen thought is an inevitable product of Song culture, but the process of its creation shows the interaction and promotion of different factors.Through the examination mode of"thought-literary view,value-creation",this paper argues that Buddhism in the Song Dynasty firstly influenced the formation of Su Shi's thought at the secular and conceptual levels, and Su Shi chose to accept the Buddhist and Zen cultures due to the innovation of his personal creative concepts and the need to express his life, thus completing the internalisation of the Buddhist and Zen concepts. He chose to accept Buddhism and Zen culture due to the need for personal creative conceptual innovation and life expression, thus completing the internalisation of the concept of Buddhism and Zen.This internalisation left traces in his poetry and contributed to the development of Song poetry in terms of subject matter, content and mood.
