A Research on Approaches and Strategies to Improve Local Employment Rate of Graduates from Xiangyang Vocational Colleges
High-quality skilled talents have a significant impact on the transformation and upgrading of regional industries.During the critical period of the construction of Xiangyang urban agglomeration and provincial sub-central city,the three higher vocational colleges in Xiangyang,based on the three industrial chains of"three-chain integration","trillion-class automobile corridor"and"144",have been committed to cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents.They actively promote the economic and social development of Xiangyang and facilitate its economic and social transformation and upgrading.However,the more attractive salary,medical,and educational conditions in first-tier cities such as Beijing,Shanghai,and Guangzhou are bound to result in the braindrain.Therefore,it is particularly important to take multiple measures to promote graduates to stay in the local area for employment,entrepreneurship,and development.This paper proposes strategies and suggestions to enhance the local employment rate of graduates from the three levels of government,enterprises and colleges,promoting the establishment of a"community of shared destiny"between vocational education and local industries,and jointly cultivating talents urgently needed for local pillar industries.
