Investigation and study on the risk factors for dizziness among architecture major students in a university
Objective:To explore the risk factors related to dizziness in architecture students, providing a basis for reducing the incidence of falls during future high-altitude operations.Method:This study selected architecture major students at Hubei Polytechnic from September 2022 to June 2023 as the research subjects.Based on demo-graphic information, clinical characteristics,PHQ-9 assessment results and nystagmus video examination results, multifactorial regression analysis was used to explore the risk factors related to dizziness. Results:The study includ-ed 541 participants,of which 234(43.25%)had a history of dizziness, with a higher proportion of females than males, and depressive symptoms were more common in patients with dizziness.Multi-factorial regression analysis showed that psychological state, bithermal test, fatigue and sleep disorders were significantly related to the onset of dizziness. Conclusion:Vestibular function abnormalities, depression, fatigue, and sleep disorders are related to the onset of dizziness.Conducting a comprehensive survey of vestibular function and assessments of psychological and fatigue states in architecture students can help reduce safety risks during high-altitude operations.
