The economic development of the rise of Xiaogan's main urban area has favorable conditions such as high integration with Wuhan,profound cultural heritage,excellent ecological environment and distinctive industrial characteristics,as well as problems such as small economic output,unreasonable urban layout,weak regional ag-gregation and external service capabilities.Hence a development model that combines government leading and mar-ket driving should be chosen to implement the development paths of scientific planning,focus on developing indus-trial and modern service industries,attracting investment and coordinate development so as to promote leapfrog growth of the economy in the main urban area in Xiaogan.
