Practical Exploration of Integrating Local Cultural Resources into Higher Vocational English Curriculum:Based on Jiangsu College of Tourism in Yangzhou
Based on the school's educational positioning,student characteristics,and professional characteris-tics,taking Yangzhou as an Example,this research identifies the suitable local cultural resources and effectively in-tegrates them with vocational English course.This integration not only benefits the inheritance of local cultural char-acteristics,but also improves the effectiveness of vocational English teaching.Based on this,practical exploration has been carried out to build a characteristic cultural resource platform,integrate teaching content and implement blended teaching mode.Practice has proven that integrating Yangzhou's local cultural resources with vocational English language knowledge can not only improve the satisfaction of vocational students with the curriculum and their understanding of Yangzhou's local cultural resources,but also make more students willing to stay and serve the local community.
