Study on Educational Reform and Hierarchical Strategies in Public English Courses Under the New Curriculum Standards in Vocational Education:A Case Study of Hubei Polytechnic Institute
The study utilized questionnaires and in-depth interviews to investigate the learning situation,teaching evaluation,and attitudes towards hierarchical teaching in the public English course for medical and nurs-ing students at Hubei Polytechnic Institute.The results revealed significant differences in students'English profi-ciency,diverse learning motivations,inadequate adaptation to content and a lack of variety in assessment methods.Based on the above findings,explicit hierarchical teaching strategies are proposed within the framework of the"three teaching"reforms,which include stratification based on student ability,teaching content and objectives,teaching methods and academic performance evaluation.
