A Study on the Cohesion of the Chinese Nation Based on the Lessons of the Disintegration of the former Soviet Union
The possibility of the national cohesion is an urgent issue in academic research that needs to be deepened.By summing up the practical experience of the cohesion construction of the Chinese nation over the past century,and taking the lessons of the disintegration of the former Soviet Union as a mirror,it is found out that the issue of nation-al cohesion is not a simple political one,but an organic unity of various factors.The promotion of material progress is the material foundation for fostering a sense of community for the Chinese nation;the promotion of cultural and ethical progress is the ideological basis for the values consensus of a community for the Chinese nation;the advance-ment of political progress is the political guarantee for the stable and harmonious consciousness of community for the Chinese nation;the enhancement of social progress is the social environment factor that strengthens the social awareness of community for the Chinese nation from a moderately prosperous society to a harmonious society;the ecological improvement is the natural foundation for forging the ecological consciousness of community for the Chi-nese nation.The overall leadership of the CPC is the fundamental guarantee for fostering a strong sense of communi-ty for the Chinese nation,strengthening the cohesion of the Chinese nation and leading people of all ethnic groups to achieve great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
