Researches on the China-Central Asia Cross-Border Ethnic Issues and their Solu-tions from the Perspective of Cross-Regional Governance along the Belt and Road
The cross-border ethnic issues between China and neighboring Central Asian countries are important vari-ables for the realization of long-term security and sustainable development of contemporary countries and regions along the Belt and Road,and concern the sound and steady construction of a China-Central Asia community of shared future and the cross-regional integration and cooperation between China and Central Asia in the process of cross-regional governance along the Belt and Road.Therefore,how to correctly understand and scientifically handle the China-Central Asia cross-border ethnic issues is an important topic for China and Central Asian countries to achieve long-term security and sustainable development under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.In re-sponse to this reality,combining theory and reality,we analyze the connotation of China-Central Asia cross-border ethnic issue and its implications for cross-regional governance along the Belt and Road.Then,we discuss the chief goals of dealing with the China-Central Asia cross-border ethnic issues in the context of cross-regional governance along the Belt and Road from the three dimensions of sovereignty maintenance,regional security and people's liveli-hood.Afterwards,according to the requirements of stability and cooperation among countries and regions along the Belt and Road,this paper proposes to formulate practical strategies for governing China-Central Asia cross-border ethnic issues from the three aspects of improving the international cooperation system,coordinated supply of public goods and integrating multiple mechanisms.
