It is of practical significance to forge a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation.As a result of the invasion of Western powers as"The Other",the Chinese nation has developed from freedom to self-awareness.To-day,we should rediscover the core values and essential characteristics of a community for the Chinese nation from the perspective of"Self'.The collective historical memory is the emotional foundation for forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation.It also needs to be combined with scientific future goals to form the driving force for forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation.To forge a strong sense of community for the Chi-nese nation,we should start from the actual development needs of the Chinese nation,promote cultural identity of the Chinese nation to lead political identity,so as to achieve the close integration of psychological identity of the Chinese nation and its own actual development needs.
