The Decline and Improvement of the Quality and Effectiveness of Openness in China's Online Criminal Trial
The online criminal trial is the inevitable product of modern science and technology serving modern judi-cial activities.The principle of open trial is very important for the smooth development of online criminal trial activi-ties.Such weaknesses as insufficient depth,incomplete content,non-standard court etiquette and non-follow-up work in the current online criminal trial activities in China have seriously reduced the quality and efficiency of openness of court trial.We should take the realization of effective trial as the primary goal,prudently promote the online trial of criminal cases,and handle the relationship between technology and trial properly.On this basis,we should deepen the disclosure of trial information,achieve the full,systematic and hierarchical disclosure of trial information through the Internet trial platform,standardize court etiquette and maintain the solemnity and authority of online trial.The fol-low-up procedure after the first instance and the publication of the final judgment documents cannot be ignored.In addition,some appropriate auxiliary measures should be taken so as to finally improve the quality and efficiency of openness of online criminal trial in China.
