The discourse function of"Hao Ge(好个)"in Chinese is directly related to the mechanism and motivation of its lexicalization as a pragmatic marker.This paper discusses the grammaticalization process of the two compo-nents of"Hao"and"Ge"in the structure of"Hao Ge",and then explores the historical development of this grammati-calization format from a dynamic perspective of grammar.It further explores how this structure solidifies into a prag-matic marker,namely its lexicalization mechanism and formation mode.It has been pointed out that"Hao Ge"has gone through a double-layer formation process of grammaticalization and then lexicalization.
