It is a major topic of ethnic work in the new era and the key to promoting ethnic unity and realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation to forge a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation.With the Chi-nese nation as a cultural community,it is of great significance to forge a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation from the perspective of cultural symbols.The collective memory and values of the Chinese nation are carried by cultural symbols and presented in explicit forms,i.e.languages,time,space and political symbols,to name but a few.By means of"symbolization"of culture,"diffusion"of symbols and"interaction"among them,the cultural sym-bol mechanism to forge a sense of community for the Chinese nation is formed.In view of the above,we should at-tach great importance to exploring fine cultural resources of all ethnic groups,and strive to achieve the goals as fol-lows:the creative transformation and"symbolization"of Chinese culture,the"diffusion"of cultural symbols by means of specialized and diversified social communication,the meaning construction and universal recognition of Chinese culture by the Chinese people of all ethnic groups in the symbolic"interaction"process of meaning recep-tion and interpretation,the enhancement of psychological belonging and identity of community members,and con-stantly fostering of a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation.
