A brief Account of Young and Middle-Aged People from Hubei Assisting in the Construction of Xinjiang in the 1950s and 1960s
In response to the call of the State,the young and middle-aged people in Hubei assisted in the socialist con-struction in Xinjiang.After publicity and mobilization,examination and approval,allocation and resettlement,and ed-ucation and consolidation,94,421 young and middle-aged people and 21,757 family members of their own entered Xinjiang successively.They were not only the fresh force on the industrial and agricultural front in Xinjiang,but also brought the advanced production experience and science and technology,and enhanced the exchanges,communica-tion and integration of various ethnic groups.This not only provides important reference for doing a good job in pair-ing assistance to Xinjiang in the new era,but also provides perceptible demonstration value and fresh cases for forg-ing a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation from the realistic dimension.
