Exploring the Approach to Forging a Strong Sense of Community for the Chinese Nation from the Perspective of Social Capital
As an important resource embedded in social relations and social structure,social capital,with social trust,participation network,and social norms constituting its core elements,has a close logical relationship with forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation.By revealing the internal logical relationship between the two,it will give impetus to shaping the common psychological cognition of all ethnic groups,strengthening exchanges and interactions among different ethnic groups,consolidating ethnic unity,and enhancing the sense of community for the Chinese nation.However,under the impact of marketization,social capital is declining day by day,resulting in insuf-ficient trust between heterogeneous subjects,weak social participation networks and imperfect social normative sys-tems.All this affects the closeness,standardization and stability of emotional connections and exchanges and interac-tions among various ethnic groups,and becomes a key factor hindering the forging of the sense of community for the Chinese nation.Therefore,it is necessary to increase social capital from the cognitive,structural,institutional and technical levels in order to effectively help foster a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation.
