During the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression,Lin Jilu and some other CPC members from Yan'an actively reformed Xinjiang College by following the example of the Military and Political University of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in Yan'an.They not only formulated the college motto of"Be-ing United,Alert,Modest and Lively",but also put forward the educational policy of"Integration of Teaching and Application"and"Linking Theory with Practice".Ultimately,Xinjiang College became a key center for spreading Marxism,a position for mobilizing the people to resist Japanese aggression,and a cradle for cultivating revolutionary talents.As a result,Xinjiang College was hailed as"The Second Military and Political University of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression"by CPC members working in Xinjiang.Although it's difficult to verify the direct source of this reputation,it had been mentioned many times in the reminiscences of the people at that time there,and it has won the recognition of the teachers and students in Xinjiang University,and the public as well.However,"The Second Military and Political University of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression"was not the second branch of The Military and Political University of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression,and Xinjiang College was not the only institution that enjoyed the reputation at that time.
