The Petrology Characteristics, Sedimentology and Reservoir Analysis of Cambrian-Ordovician Siliceous Rocks in Kalpin Fault-Uplift
There are widespread siliceous rocks in Cambrian-Ordovician in Kalpin fault-uplift,Tarim Basin.According to the occurrence characteristics, the siliceous rocks in studied area can be divided into two types, that is,thin bedding black silicite coexisting with black shales in Yuertusi Formation and the siliceous belt and nodules in Penglaiba Formation in lower Ordovician.Based on the analysis of the outcrops and under microscope, the former type contains argillo ferruginous and takes on laminated structures, which is laminated bearing argillo ferruginous silicite. This type of silicite may form in quiet water with lower Eh,that is,the deep water or craton deep water basin in Wilson models. The carbonate in Penglaiba FM deposit in subtidal intraplatform shoal, the Si-rich fluid alternating carbonate minerals This type of silicite mainly distributes in fracture-developing area and surrounding depositional cyclic boundary, and the lithology is mainly residual arene silicite and residual alga laminated silicite.
