Application of Remote Sensing in Estimating the Storage Capacity of Plateau Lakes
The Qinghai Tibet Plateau has numerous lakes, and the development, utilization, and protection of water re-sources are key elements in promoting China's ecological civilization construction.Using the Saligileghan Lake as the re-search area and using high-resolution remote sensing data, utilizing the characteristics of visible light with both water penetration and lake bottom reflection,a model between lake depth and green band was established through field mea-surements of water depth. The lake bottom topography was generated, and the average absolute error of the water depth inversion model was 0.23m,with relative errors of 2.84%.Using GIS flooding analysis, establish a mathematical rela-tionship between lake area and storage capacity, and estimate the current storage capacity of Saligileghan Lake to be 617.9 million cubic meters. The results show that, combined with field measurement data, the Gaofen-2 remote sensing data can accurately reflect the structure and texture of lake bottom topography, meet the needs of estimating lake water storage capacity, and provide data support for water resource utilization and protection, plateau lake research, etc.
