Analysis of geological characteristics and metallogenic potentialof Kangtuai tzite in Ruoqiang County,Xinjiang
The Kantugai quartzite deposit in Ruoqiang County,Xinjiang is a new quartzite deposit for ferrosilicon in the hinterland of Altun Mountain,Xinjiang. The deposit occurs in two mica and Muscovite quartz shillings in the flysch metamorphic strata of the(middle)Proterozoic Ingrique structure(ophiolitic)melange zone. The deposit consists of more than twenty stratified and lenticular quartzites. The mineral association is mainly composed of quartz,Muscovite, biotite and a small amount of pyrite, garnet and chlorite. The main structure of the ore is fine grained blastoblastic structure, followed by semi-idiomorphic granular structure. The main structure of ore is block structure. The deposit is a sedimentary metamorphic quartzite deposit.Quartzite in the mining area is large in quantity and scale. At present, only some sections of quartzite ore bodies have been systematically controlled, and the deposit scale has reached above medium size. There are still a large amount of quartzite in the mining area that has not been controlled by engineering, and the quartzite mineral resources for ferrosilicon in Kangtugai quartzite mining area have great potential.
